Q. What’s a DoubleWinner?

A. DoubleWinners are persons who are members of both the AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) and the Al-Anon (Family Groups) Programs, actively pursuing their recovery from the family disease of Alcoholism.

A Family Disease

Recovery from alcoholism involves the entire family because drinking and drugging involves the entire family. For an “active” alcoholic to function, they depend on a whole system of people to support them; the family being the main enablers, closely followed by friends, co-workers & employers, the medical profession and a host of others.

This blog is created to be a platform for the voice of the “double winners” and others who are practicing a better way to live.
